The White House

The White House is a hotel in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City, on Đỗ Quang Đẩu street, where every room has air conditioning, a private bathroom and a minibar. The property sits in a side alley away from the traffic, although music from the bars of the nearby Bui Vien area can sometimes be heard.

The rooms measure 15, 18 or 20 m² and sleep two. Each has a private entrance and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a hairdryer, and the Deluxe Room adds a seating area. Staff carry luggage up the stairs and share maps with local advice, the front desk is open 24 hours, and luggage storage, laundry and daily housekeeping are available. The front desk at The White House is staffed 24 hours a day, and the property offers express check-in and check-out, a concierge service and a tour desk. The tour desk can arrange walking tours and hiking, and public transport tickets are sold on site. Currency exchange, luggage storage and lockers help travellers who arrive early or leave late.

Daily housekeeping, laundry and ironing service keep longer stays comfortable, and a shared lounge with a TV area gives guests a place to sit outside their rooms. Grocery deliveries are available, and vending machine drinks can be bought in the common areas. The side street carries less traffic than the main avenues, though music from the Bui Vien bars can still reach the rooms at times. The streets around the property mix guesthouses, small cafés and shops, so the walk to the centre of the district is pleasant and easy to follow.

Getting around is simple on foot or by taxi. The Bến xe buýt Sài Gòn bus station is 200 m away, and Ben Thanh Station, the start of Metro Line 1, is 850 m away, roughly ten minutes on foot. Saigon Railway Station is 2.2 km from the property. There is no parking on site, so arrivals by car or taxi end on the street and the last stretch is covered on foot, which keeps the trip short.

For sights, the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum is 950 m away and the Museum of Ho Chi Minh City is 1.4 km, while Tao Dan Park, 850 m off, has green paths for an unhurried walk. September 23 Park, 450 m away, is a quiet place to rest between visits. Ben Thanh Market, 950 m away, is the place for street food and souvenirs, and the bike hire at the property makes these short trips easy on the flat roads of the district.
